The winners of the Baikal Pitch have been announced

The VI Baikal Pitch took place in the framework of the All-Russian Pitching of Debutants and the 19 People and Environment Baikal International Film Festival n.a. V. Rasputin on September 24.

This year the Expert Council consists of:

Olga Belskaya – chairman of the Irkutsk Regional Branch of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, vice-president of the People and Environment Festival, journalist, documentary director;

Andrey Salnikov – Irkutsk Regional Film Fund director. 

Maria Vogt – editor-in-chief of the Byulleten kinoprokatchika magazine; 

Anna Gudkova – editor, TV-3 and Premier Platform creative producer, festival programs organizer and coordinator in Russia and abroad; 

Bair Dyshenov – director; 

The Pitch was moderated by Dmitry Yakunin, executive director of the Youth Policy Division of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

Pitch organizers: the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, the Youth Policy Division of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, OGAUK Irkutsk Regional Film Fund, Irkutsk Regional Branch of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation with the support of the Presidential Grants for Civil Society Development Foundation and the National Fund of Right Holders, the Ministry of Culture and Archives of Irkutsk Region, Canon, and the Association of Producers of Film and Television.

Experts selected the Last Flight project written and directed by Maria Krasnoperova and producer Yana Sadulaeva (Krasnoyarsk) as the winner out of 6 works in the Documentary Category. The winner was awarded a grant of 500,000 rubles from the Presidential Grants for Civil Society Development Foundation and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, as well as a certificate for 80,000 rubles from the Irkutsk Regional Film Fund.

 

My friend Nerpa short film project written and directed by Vyacheslav Butukhanov (Ulan-Ude) became the winner in the Feature Film Category. As a reward, the work received 500,000 rubles from the the Presidential Grants for Civil Society Development Foundation and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, as well as certificates for full or partial implementation (80,000 rubles) and for the rental of technical equipment (50,000 rubles) from the Irkutsk Regional Film Fund. In addition, the project received a certificate from Canon.

Also, Cross Baikal documentary film project written and directed by Anastasia Yemelyanova (Irkutsk) received a certificate for technical support from Irkutsk Film Fund (50,000 rubles), and Irkutsk by Ivan Vyrypaev project written and directed by Anastasia Zverkova, producer Yuri Yashnikov (Irkutsk), received a certificate for 2 shifts (70,000 rubles) from Baikalcinemarental.

Finally, the project of the Corps Diplomatique documentary film written and directed by Polina Stepanova was awarded a certificate from Sinelab.
