Dear directors

We are accepting submissions for the Rasputin Baikal International Film Festival People and Environment that takes place from 17 to 27 September 2024. The festival was conceived as a film platform that gives people the opportunity to contemplate on the complex relationship between humans and nature.

The Festival includes screenings of documentary, popular science, fiction, animation and full-dome films; non-competition thematic programs including films participating in the competition or specially selected by the organizers; professional discussions in the form of round tables, conferences, forums, press discussions, master classes of famous filmmakers and scientists.

We wish you fruitful creative work and hope to see you at our Festival! 


The Festival jury committee will evaluate the films in the following nominations

  • Grand Prix n.a. V.Rasputin (including 500 000 Russian rubles award);
  • Best documentary film a. M.Romm;
  • Best popular-science film n.a. Cherskiy;
  • Best feature film n.a. L.Gaidai;
  • Antonio Donatello Award for Best Full-Dome Film;
  • Best animation movie;
  • “Baikal” Prize – for acuteness of the problem (film on the most actual ecological problems);

  The Festival jury committee reserves a right to award a film from any nomination with a special diploma. 

Prizes of state, public, educational and other organizations or personal prizes are also awarded at the Festival. The winners in the main categories receive prizes (statuettes) and diplomas. Souvenirs and handouts are given to all participants.


Invitation

The festival traditionally covers the accommodation and meal expenses for the crew representatives participating in the competition program. The travel costs are partially or completely offset within the means available.


Submission
Submissions are open from February 1 to April 10, 2024. We ask that you carefully read the Festival Regulations. We ask you to send the completed application form in electronic form, photos of the authors and stills from the film by e-mail:
