The Competition program of the People and Environment is compiled
The Non-competition program of the 22d Baikal International Film Festival includes 10 non-fiction films
Out of 123 applications of the 21st Baikal International Film Festival named after V. Rasputin competition program 25 works have been selected: 15 documentaries, 7 popular science and 3 feature films. The majority of them come from Russia. They are 18 works, including those created by Irkutsk filmmakers Anastasia Zverkova, Yulia Byvsheva and Pavel Skorobogatov. Also, there are works from Iran, Slovakia, Argentina, the UK and the USA. The list of participants of the non-competition program and the full-dome cinema section will be announced later.

Opening of the 20th Baikal International Film Festival People and Environment named after V. Rasputin will be held in Irkutsk on September 8 at the Zvezdny Cinema. The full program has been formed and published on the website of the film festival.
39 works were included in the short list of the 20th season out of 186 applications submitted. There are 7 documentary, 5 popular science, 3 feature and 12 animated films in the competition program. The non-competition program consists of 12 works.

The VI Baikal Pitch took place in the framework of the All-Russian Pitching of Debutants and the 19 People and Environment Baikal International Film Festival n.a. V. Rasputin on September 24.
Yulia Kiseleva's film Chip Inside Me won a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The film is scheduled for release in 2022.

Irkutsk Regional Film Fund launches a video version of the film school of the Baikal International Film Festival named after V. G. Rasputin.
The competition program of the 19th Baikal International Film Festival «People and Environment» named after V. G. Rasputin has already been formed. It will take place from 24 to 28 September in Irkutsk. This year, 27 works were selected from 249 applications, including 10 documentaries and popular science films, 5 live actions and 12 animated films. The film about the most pressing environmental problems will receive the Baikal prize for the acuteness of the problem. In addition, special prizes will be awarded by the youth jury, the media community and the audience. The Grand-Prix of the festival is 200 thousand rubles.

Creative meeting with the crew of the feature film «Sea-buckthorn Summer» about life and death of an outstanding playwright A.Vampilov was held within the framework of the 17th Baikal International Film Festival «People and Environment» named after V. V.G.Rasputin. Nikolay is a film producer, member of the expert committee of the Film Foundation. He has worked as an analyst in the core journal about the film industry «Newsletter of film distributor» for 7 years.

Russian authors submitted 32 movies, the other came from India (63), Italy (32), Germany (29), USA and Iran (27 each), Turkey (26), France (25), Spain (23), Brazil 19), Great Britain (13) and other countries. Last year, 408 films from 71 countries were received.

The presentations of the projects which were created to attract producers and investors were conducted in two nominations- feature and non-feature films. 6 projects were included into short-list in each nomination.
