This movie shows an investigation of an ancient Chinese tradition — fishing method in which fishermen use trained cormorants to fish. Cormorants live in Russia and in other countries, but only in China people turned them into «winged fishermen» which are able to catch fifteen kilograms of fish in a day! Only in China these birds answer to their names. Perhaps because of it they are often called «Chinese dogs». The movie discovers a secret of how ancient Chinese managed to tame wild birds, and make them into workers which like dogs serve their owner…
