Baikal International Festival-2017 has finished receiving contest applications

Baikal International Festival of Popular-Science and Documentary Films "People and Environment" named after V.G. Rasputin has finished receiving contest applications. In total the organizing committee received 408 works from 71 countries of the world. 33 works were presented by the Russian authors, other films came from Germany, France, The Republic of South Africa, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Nepal, Ukraine, Belarus  and other countries. The Selection Committee will choose the best of the submitted works, and viewers will see them at the Festival this autumn.

In early July, the contest program and the non-competitive program of the festival will be known. Festival "People and Environment" shows documentaries which draw public attention to the problems of the relationship between people and environment. The current Film Festival will be the sixteenth and will be taking place in Irkutsk from 5 to 9 October 2017.
