Baikal International Festival “People and Environment” is a major screening of Documentary and Popular-Science Films on nature and humankind. The program of the festival showcases “exclusive” content – most of the films won’t be released in the cinema. The Festival has always been of great interest not only for filmmakers but also for ecologists, biologists and public. The audience watched «Volunteers. Playing with fire» about volunteering firemen, «Food in the woods of The Chako» on survival of native people in Paraguay, the experimental «The breath of tundra», and popular-science films «The giants of the ocean» and «The everglades — a watery wilderness».
