From Chicxulub to Tunguska

Throughout the universe asteroids fly all over, and at some point, they may cross the path with Planet Earth, which was the case of the meteorite that hit 66 million years ago leaving a crater in what we know today as Chicxulub located in the peninsula of Yucatan, Mexico, triggering the extinction of 75% of life on earth. At the other side of the world in the region of Siberia, Russia, took place the Tunguska event in 1908: a fireball that exploded kilometers from the ground and burned thousands of square kilometers of Siberian forest. What connection exists between these two events in two countries separated by thousands of kilometers?

For more than 30 years he has been dedicated to the communication of science, especially in the area of planetariums, digital domes and immersion theaters. He is the president of company «Planetarios Digitales» that works on design and creation of planetariums and dome theaters. He is the head of «Kalakmul Studios», a studio founded with the support of the council of science and technology of Mexico (Conacyt) specifically to produce experimental documentaries.
