Siberia. In an old village on the Angara river there are only four last houses left. The big village was burned right in front of the villagers’ eyes. Siberian convicts clean up the area for the bed of the new reservoir of the fourth on this riverhydro power plant, Boguchany Dam. Tractors work threateningly around the survived houses. Villagers meet every day with the fear of being burned any minute. In spite of that, they do not leave their Homeland. Thisisthelastyearofthevillage.

Ekaterina Stytsenko

Ekaterina Stytsenko graduatedfrom the faculty of journalism of Krasnoyarsk State University, Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (class of V.A. Mahn, M.M. Babak). Directorial debut in documentaries – film “The fourth circle” - became a winner of “Svyataya Anna” (Saint Anna) film festival in 2016.
