Three master-classes were held within the frames of the film school of the festival “People and Environment”

Three master-classes were held within the frames of the film school at the festival «People and Environment». Traditionally the guests of the festival, participants, jury members and other experts, share their experience with the cinematographers who only begin their journey. 

«A different way to look at science in Digital Domes» was presented by a member of jury committee, producer Enrique Fonte in Irkutsk Planetarium on the 6 th of October. Using the film «From Chicxulub to Tunguska» as an example he told how to present the scientific facts by innovative method: with the help of full dome cinematheatres, planetariums and new technologies like filming with drones, underwater filming and 2D- and 3D-visualization.

The head of the international jury committee, director and producer Pavel Pechenkin shared his experience about «Filmmaking in the region: Perm model» on the 7 th of October in Films House (Dom Kino). The accent was made on the media education: Perm cinematic works actively with the youth, with socially unprotected sections of the population, showing educational films with obligatory discussions after the screenings.

The film director Ekaterina Eremenko told the audience about «Search of new forms in popular-science films» in the Films House on the 8 th of October. While making the films she is based on her first education — mechanical-mathematics faculty of MGU. The result is the presentation of scientific knowledge as poetry.
