Call for Entries has successfully concluded

The Directorate of the Baikal International Film Festival, named after V. Rasputin, has closed the submission deadline for the upcoming edition. The shortlist will be announced in June, with the Festival taking place in September. The Festival regulations and the application form can be found at www.baikalkinofest.ru. Alternatively, submissions can also be made through FilmFreeway.

22nd BAIKAL FILM FESTIVAL People and Environment ANNOUNCED THE WINNERS

In Irkutsk, at the closing ceremony of the 22nd Baikal International Film Festival «People and Environment» n.a. V.G. Rasputin, which took place on September 25 at the Youth House, the winners were announced. First Deputy Governor Roman Kolesov congratulated them on behalf of the head of the region.
The jury members summed up the results of the competition program. 35 films from 17 countries took part in it: 9 documentaries, 8 popular science films, 6 feature films, 12 animations. The screenings took place at the House of Cinema and the New Cinema cinema. In addition, a separate jury evaluated 6 full-dome films that could be viewed at the Irkutsk Planetarium and the Great Irkutsk Planetarium, based at school No. 19.

The shortlist of the People and Environment Film Festival has been announced

Out of 123 applications of the 21st Baikal International Film Festival named after V. Rasputin competition program 25 works have been selected: 15 documentaries, 7 popular science and 3 feature films. The majority of them come from Russia. They are 18 works, including those created by Irkutsk filmmakers Anastasia Zverkova, Yulia Byvsheva and Pavel Skorobogatov. Also, there are works from Iran, Slovakia, Argentina, the UK and the USA. The list of participants of the non-competition program and the full-dome cinema section will be announced later.

Yulia Kiseleva's film Chip Inside Me won a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The film is scheduled for release in 2022.

THE SHORTLIST OF THE FILM FESTIVAL PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

The competition program of the 19th Baikal International Film Festival «People and Environment» named after V. G. Rasputin has already been formed. It will take place from 24 to 28 September in Irkutsk. This year, 27 works were selected from 249 applications, including 10 documentaries and popular science films, 5 live actions and 12 animated films. The film about the most pressing environmental problems will receive the Baikal prize for the acuteness of the problem. In addition, special prizes will be awarded by the youth jury, the media community and the audience. The Grand-Prix of the festival is 200 thousand rubles.

Master-class of Nikolay Larionov «Trends in Russian and foreign cinema» was conducted on the 26th of September in the exhibition hall of Irkutsk Regional local history museum «Window to Asia» within the framework of the IV Baikal pitching of the best film projects, All-Russian pitching of debutants and the 17th Baikal International Film Festival  «People and Environment» n.a. V.G.Rasputin. Nikolay is a film producer, member of the expert committee of the Film Foundation. He has worked as an analyst in the core journal about the film industry «Newsletter of film distributor» for 7 years.

Rasputin was held in Zvezdniy cinematheatre on the 21st of September. The Governor of Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko, Minister of culture and archives Olga Stasyulevich, President of the Festival Sergey Miroshnichenko and General Director of the Festival and Head of Irkutsk Regional Film Foundation Andrey Salnikov took part in it.

Applications for the 17th Baikal International Film Festival «People and Environment» n.a. V. Rasputin. This year, the organizing committee will consider 624 works from 45 countries. Russian authors submitted 32 movies, the other came from India (63), Italy (32), Germany (29), USA and Iran (27 each), Turkey (26), France (25), Spain (23), Brazil 19), Great Britain (13) and other countries. Last year, 408 films from 71 countries were received.
